How we operate – design, create, hand-over

We offer turnkey solutions for creative and innovative projects around the world. We specialize in projects conserve our natural world and create local employment. We work hand in hand with the client through all stages of the project as required by the client, through to hand-over.

No project is the same - however the fundamentals are generally consistent in that they all start with an idea.This idea is generally translated into a sketch, even a scribble. The sketches change and evolve as the project concept is refined and developed.

Once the project concept is generally agreed upon with the client,   the project concept is then formalized into working drawings and the project proposal is formally written up. This can take several forms – some formal and some in-formal depending on the nature of the project.

Once the working drawings and project proposal (along with any associated business plans, marketing plans, development plans) have been approved, we implement the project according to pre-determined outcomes as dictated by the client.

Again, this process can take many forms – some formal some informal. In some cases the above steps may not be required; however the process is in broad terms similar.

Implementation can involve a variety of professional services depending on the scale and nature of the project. Some projects do not require such services at all. Each project requires different inputs and has different outcomes. We hand pick the team required on a need’s be, project-for-project basis.

We associate ourselves with leading professionals with a track record of delivery behind their name. These would include local green architects, engineers, energy experts, installation artist, builders, carpenters, stone masons, and trainers– depending on the project requirements. We all have shared values and beliefs in our approach to our work and the projects we take on.

TEL manages and oversees the inputs made, as required, and ensures the smooth management and ultimate delivery of each project. This includes financial management of the project budget.

Be it a structure, an art piece, a fitting, tented camp, a training program - it generally involves identifying a champion for the project. This is ideally a person with a passion and genuine love and affinity for what the project entails.

We work closely with the client to identify, mentor and assist this person/s in fulfilling the role of project champion. Ideally this person is local to the project area.

Once the structures and the people are ready, the project is handed over to the client as a complete, functioning project. This is measured according the original brief to ensure that all deliverable have been met / outcomes adhered to.

We also offer follow-up services of monitoring, top-up training and mentoring depending on the project requirements.
